Argan is an excellent source of vitamin E, has an antioxidant effect and contains unsaturated fatty acids which neutralise free radicals. Its exotic origins can be traced back to Morocco. The tree on which it grows is a true natural phenomenon. Once dead, it can come to life again seven years later. Berber women in Morocco handpick the kernels of argan trees from June to August and, after a few weeks of drying in the sun, grind them with stones to obtain the seeds used to produce 100% organic argan oil. A deodorisation process is used to eliminate its natural but rather unpleasant smell, allowing argan oil products to lavishly pamper the skin and envelop it in deliciously fragrant softness.
