WILD DARK Self-tanning mousse

 ACTION: 

• The mousse contains an extremely high concentration of a self-tanning complex of 100% natural origin. It is a combination of the DHA tanning activator and erythrulose, which work in synergy to ensure the most even and long-lasting tanning of the skin. The addition of pentylene glycol further enhances the self-tanning process and also has a highly moisturising effect.

• The self-tanning complex reacts with amino acids in the surface layer of the epidermis to produce pigments that give the skin a darker complexion. And rest assured, the reaction is completely harmless.

• Colour development starts as early as 2 hours after the first application, with the most intensive tanning result visible after about 6 hours. The colour develops completely between 6 and 24 hours after application and lasts up to 14 days.

• Regardless of the properties and performance of the self-tanning mousse, the tanning speed and intensity also depend on the individual – how they prepare their skin before application, how thickly and precisely they apply the mousse, and what their subsequent daily skin care regimen is. The protein content of your skin also influences the colour of your skin. Increased protein content in the stratum corneum can increase the intensity of the colouring provided by a self-tanning product. It is therefore difficult to speak of a uniform and universal action of the product, since the result is slightly different for everyone.

• The formula also contains a concentrated aloe vera gel, which provides intensive and long-lasting hydration to the skin and consequently improves the self-tanning effect. Well-moisturised skin tans more evenly and stays tanned for longer.

SELF-TANNING COMPLEX OF 100% NATURAL ORIGIN

WILD DARK Self-tanning mousse contains the highest possible concentration of the self-tanning complex, which consists of the DHA self-tanning activator and erythrulose. It is the optimum combination of self-tanning ingredients to achieve an extremely fast tan (DHA) and the most natural look (erythrulose).

DHA self-tanning activator

It is obtained from glycerol through microbial fermentation and is the simplest ketonic form of sugar. It is generated in the body in the process of metabolising carbohydrates, which is why it is natural to the human body. DHA reacts with amino acids in the surface layer of the epidermis to produce pigments (melanoidins) that give the skin a darker complexion.

Erythrulose

A tanning activator of 100% natural origin, which works in the same way as DHA, but provides a much more natural and even colour to the skin. It works more slowly (skin colouring occurs within 2 days) and the tanning effect lasts longer. The skin tone fades much later and more evenly, and the skin maintains its natural tanned appearance throughout.

PENTYLENE GLYCOL

A remarkable moisturiser derived from sugar cane. It has been proven to increase the skin's moisture supply after just one application. It also improves the self-tanning effect, contributing to a more even, intensive and long-lasting skin colour.

CONCENTRATED ALOE VERA BARBADENSIS GEL

A 10-fold concentrate of freshly squeezed aloe vera juice. It intensively moisturises the skin, boosts the natural skin cell renewal process and contributes to healthy, radiant and visibly tauter skin.

To get the best results from self-tanning products, your skin needs to be properly prepared for their application. Continued intensive daily moisturising care is also important to maintain an attractive tan for as long as possible.

Follow the steps below for an even, intensive and long-lasting tan:

1. EXFOLIATE
   
   Exfoliate thoroughly a day or two before applying the self-tanning mousse. This will remove dead skin cells and allow the mousse to be applied more evenly. We recommend using the SUMMER AFFAIR 5 in 1 Premium body scrub, which is specially formulated to prepare the skin for the application of self-tanning products.
   
   Do not use oil-based scrubs that leave a nurturing layer on the skin, as this hinders the thorough and even absorption of self-tanning products. 

2. MOISTURISE DRY AREAS
   
   Before applying the self-tanning mousse, apply a moisturising lotion or moisturising body cream. We recommend using SUMMER AFFAIR Body lotion or PURE GOLD 24 Ka Luxury body lotion.
   
   Take special care to moisturise your hands, elbows, knees and feet, as the skin on these areas is usually drier. This will prevent dry areas from absorbing too much product and ending up looking darker than the rest of your body.

3. APPLY THE SELF-TANNING MOUSSE

• The skin must be completely dry before applying the self-tanning mousse.
• Apply the mousse as evenly as possible with the SUMMER AFFAIR Special mitt for self-tanning products.
• Apply the product in small amounts and with circular motions. This will prevent the appearance of different coloured areas and unsightly streaks. If you apply too much mousse, use a moisturising wipe to remove the excess immediately.
• Start at the feet and ankles and work your way up the body.
  This way you will avoid the lines and stains that form when you bend your body.
• Do not leave out the top of your feet and hands. Apply a small amount of the mousse to the top of your hands and feet and massage it in gently with the help of a mitt. Don’t forget the areas between the fingers and the edges of the palms and soles. Avoid the heels, soles and palms of the hands. Finally, lightly wipe the folds of the fingers and nails with a damp cloth. For easier application, you can apply the mousse to the tops of the hands and feet without a mitt. In this case, be sure to wash your palms thoroughly with soap immediately after application.
• Wait at least 5 minutes before dressing to allow the product to absorb well into the skin. This will avoid uneven skin colouration.

4. LET IT WORK

• Leave the mousse on for 1 to 6 hours, or longer, depending on the desired degree of tanning. The longer you leave the mousse on, the more tanned your skin will look.
• For a medium tan, rinse off the mousse 1 hour after application, but leave it on for at least 6 hours for the maximum tanning effect.

5. RINSE OFF WITH WATER

• After the desired time has elapsed, rinse off the mousse with warm water, without using soap or shower gel.
• Colour development starts 2 hours after application and reaches its maximum intensity after 6 hours. Even if the product is washed off earlier (e.g. 1 hour after application), the colour still develops thanks to the special formulation that is absorbed into the skin.
• For an even more intensive self-tanning effect, re-apply the self-tanning mousse the next day.
• To maintain the tan, we recommend re-applying every 5 to 7 days.

• To achieve the most even tan, we recommend depilating the skin before self-tanning. Depilation should be done at least 24 hours before applying the self-tanning mousse. To maintain the self-tanning effect, do not depilate the skin for at least 1 or 2 days after the procedure.
• Pay special attention to the ankles, wrists, knees and elbows to avoid unwanted streaks. Apply the mousse as precisely and as evenly as possible.
